I have traveled the world as a documentary photographer and have covered events ranging from Fashion Week and the Academy Awards to wildfires. As different as these assignments may seem, they all illustrate moments in human experience that are emotional and often beautiful. Every time I watch a person strut down the catwalk or charge into a burning forest I feel a bit more connected to the experiences of others. It is an incredible feeling and I wouldn’t trade it for another job in the world.
I approach weddings as though a major magazine were doing a series on you and your family. In other words, I am seeking to illustrate the most important day of your life by capturing the emotional moments of your day in beautiful photographs. As a documentary photographer I have spent years developing a technique that is unobtrusive and natural. In this way you can enjoy each part of your celebration rather than being pulled from it periodically to be posed and photographed. The portraits that we do create during your day will reflect your personality and take place at a time that allows for you to interact with your guests as much as possible.
